This liquid handler is designed for clinical laboratories and research applications. The Freedom EVO® delivers reliable precision for pipetting between tubes, microplates, and deep-well plates. As an open, flexible platform with eight pipetting channels, it prepares assays for downstream analysis, creates dilutions, or archives samples with full traceability.

The system supports plate reformatting, dilution series, complex pipetting patterns, and sample archiving across tubes, 96-well plates, and deep-well plates. It is compliant with IVD-D 98/79/EC and 21 CFR Part 11 for electronic records and signatures.

Users can choose fixed tips to save space and consumables, disposable tips for sensitive workflows, or a combination of both. The load-and-go sample-splitting feature works with pre-labeled secondary tubes. The instrument automatically matches barcodes between primary and secondary tubes and generates a worklist without needing a host connection.

Multiple destination tubes with the same barcode as the primary tube may be loaded. The system determines required actions—such as dilution or splitting—based on defined worktable sections. Freedom EVO Clinical supports downstream assay plate preparation, ELISAs, archive plate creation, aliquoting, and barcode label worklist generation. Pipetting capacity ranges from 1 µl to 1000 µl.
